Earlier this week we shared a survey with families in an attempt to get feedback to see how people were feeling in regards to face to face sessions. The information we collated, together with the Government Guidance/ updates and the local updates all contributed to the Committee’s decision that a hold would be placed on any face to face sessions at Little Heroes ASD Support Hub. We are saddened to have to advise you of this, however we are putting the health of everyone at the forefront of this decision. We truly hope that drastic improvements are seen soon and the infection rates decrease. As soon as it is safe to do so we will open our doors once again.
Meanwhile we will convert support to virtual, this includes:
- Fridays support sessions via zoom at 11am each week
- Monthly evening Chat and Chill sessions via zoom (next one being Monday 11th Jan at 7pm, further dates to be confirmed).
Details will be sent to you upon request.
We hope to arrange some virtual activity sessions for the little heroes too, we did this previously and from experience we understand that zoom does not work for everyone (and can be a sensory overload). If you do have any suggestions or comments about what you would like to be able to access during this time, please do just say. We always have our ears open and as we say “Never Say Never!”
Just because we cannot be face to face does not mean we are not accessible, support is still available so please feel free to contact the team via email firstname.lastname@example.org, alternative forms of contact are also possible.
Meanwhile take care and keep safe.
The results are in from our survey… WE ASKED and YOU SAID….
25% of families happy with face to face Friday Support Sessions at the hub and 75% of families wanting to participate in Zoom Support Sessions each Friday.
85% of families with pre-school aged children was not wanting to venture out to the hub.
